The Bishop’s Lay Professional, Clergy, and Spouse Conference
October 21 – 23, 2019
“Wonder in All: The Art of Powerful Questions”
What would it look like if we stopped asking the wrong questions? How might our faith communities transform and flourish if we changed our current narrative into something compelling and attractive to those who need to hear Christ’s message of love, hope, redemption, healing, etc.? At the Bishop’s Fall Conference for lay professionals, clergy and spouses, participants will spend time together talking about the art of powerful questions and discover practical ways to let go of some old paradigms, re-imagine new approaches to forming disciples, and gain new insight for leading thriving congregations. Join us as we practice what it means to have inquiring and discerning hearts and “Wonder in All.”
Last year’s beloved workshop leader, Melissa Rau, will return to lead the plenaries at the Bishop’s Fall Conference this October.
Melissa is the Senior Program Director of Leadership at Episcopal Church Foundation. She is responsible for overseeing the ECF Leadership Resources areas, which includes Vital Practices, webinars and training, publications and the ECF Fellowship Partners program. Melissa focuses in particular on shaping entrepreneurial and transformational leadership in churches and the communities they serve. She has written and published curriculum and numerous articles for online and printed publications, and more recently co-authored a book—Ten Solutions for Small Churches. Stay tuned for even more about the conference.
